URBANA — Under a picturesque sky at Urbana Country Club on Saturday, August 29, the 3B Tour wrapped up its season in dramatic fashion with Bill Grindle capturing the Tour Championship tournament title and Joe Bogdewiecz securing the ultimate prize as the 2026 season-long Tour Champion.

In a tournament defined by razor-thin margins, Grindle delivered a clutch performance to lead the field in individual net stroke play. Firing an even-par net 72, Grindle held off a fierce group of pursuers to claim victory on Urbana's challenging layout.

The battle for the tournament podium came down to the wire, with Terry Schertzer, Mike Morton, and Joe Bogdewiecz all posting rounds of 1-over-par 73 to finish in a three-way tie for second place, just a single shot off Grindle's winning mark. Rounding out the event's top performers was another tightly contested pack tied for fifth, where Anthony Fidelibus, Randy Staff, and Jeremy Mers each carded solid rounds of 3-over-par 75.

Beyond the single-round trophy, Saturday's final round served as the grand finale for the 2026 points race. Bogdewiecz’s crucial runner-up finish provided the boost he needed to leap from second place into the top spot, amassing 2,106.67 total points to officially edge out previous points leader Josh Sony (1,965.00 points) and Mike Morton (1,960.42 points) for the 2026 season crown. Tournament winner Bill Grindle also made a major leap in the season standings, climbing from seventh to fourth place overall (1,806.25 points) to cap off a thrilling conclusion to the 2026 3B Tour campaign.
