Genesis 2:18a- "The Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone." (NIV)

From the very beginning of creation God stated that it is not good for us to be alone. Adam was in the Garden of Eden with everything he could ever want or need. Beauty surrounded him everywhere he looked. God's presence was with him in the cool of the day. He had all kinds of birds, fish and animals with him. He basically had everything he ever needed. Yet when God looked at him, he saw a man who was lonely for human companionship.

Today we seem to be in the same state as Adam. It seems we have everything we could ever want or need. We have friends, family, co-workers, church members and social media to occupy our every waking hour. Yet studies have shown that a lot of us still feel alone and isolated. At times we feel abandoned by those who are our family and friends. We often feel unloved and anxious about what our future holds.

Since God said it is "NOT" good for man to be alone, the enemy tries to convenience us that it "IS" good to be alone. Social Media sites have replaced physical contact with how many likes we find on each site. We post pictures of our best moments when in reality we know the truth. Our lives do not match the pictures. We are scared, anxious, depressed, guilt-ridden and feel a great sense of shame. The message in a text or a picture on a screen was never intended to replace having people in our lives. Those  who we can sit down and discuss real life issues.

I feel that some of you are feeling the pain of being alone. You feel no one really cares about what is going on in your world. You are with a group of people but still feel alone. You are haunted by your past and believe if people really knew who you were and what you have done, they would reject you. You feel hopeless and that no one cares. This is the place the devil desires to keep you so you will always feel alone. This is not a good place for you to be.

Jesus wants you to know that He is always with you no matter what you have done or who you have become. Jesus desires to take away all your shame and guilt and replace it with love, acceptance and forgiveness. Jesus' love is unconditional. He loves you, period. How can you know this is true? You can know this true by looking at what He did on the cross. He died so you could live.

Jesus longs to be with us and guide us. Hebrews 13:5b says, "God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never with I forsake you." (NIV) In Matthew 28:20b, Jesus said to His disciples, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV)  Jesus wants you to be assured that you never have to feel alone again. He is there for you. Call out to Him when you are hurting and need a friend. He loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.

The other thing that will help in times of loneliness is knowing you have a band of brothers at 3B Fellowship who love you and desire to walk with you along life's path. Prayer-Dear Lord, Today I am feeling all alone. I don't feel like anyone is with me. I struggle with past mistakes and feel no one is there to help. Please Lord help me stand on your word that says, "You will never leave me." Forgive me for my sins. I commit my life to you and receive everything you have for me. I need you and other brothers to encourage me along life's way. Thank you for the gift of salvation. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
