"But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship."
It is hard to believe that Christmas is over. It seems like we spend months preparing for this wonderful day and then in a instant it is over. I do hope that you had a great time celebrating the birth of our savior with your loved ones.
In our scripture verse above we see the eternal importance of Christmas. Paul indicates the purpose of God sending his Son is our adoption into His family. Adoption means He chose us to be a member of His family. He chose us. He paid my sin debt so I can have a heavenly father and eternal home.
Now that Christmas is behind us for another year, remember we can celebrate the effects of this season all year through. It is truly the gift that keeps on giving the whole year long.
Prayer-Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for adopting me into your family. Christmas reminds me of the price you paid for my redemption. Without Christmas, I am still an orphan with no family or hope for eternal life. To me this is why Christmas is one of the most important days of the year. I love you and praise you for all your blessings. In Jesus' name, Amen!
